Street Growth's very first garden opened in October of 2011 and is located on the St. John's Anglican Church grounds in Darlinghust. This garden operates in conjunction with the church and the Rough Edges Cafe, meeting every Sunday afternoon at 2pm (weather permitting).

A regular gardening session usually entails tending to the garden, hanging out and catching up with one another over a cuppa and on the warmer day enjoying an ice cream together afterwards. It is our hope that through gardening with one another, we may provide meaning, purpose, support and opportunity to each other. Our garden has a particular focus on serving the disadvantaged and homeless community of east Sydney, although we warmly welcome all peoples regardless of their past/present situations in life.

If this sounds like something that interests you then please drop by one of our gardening session or alternatively send us an email, we would love to hear from you.
