MEET THE TEAM

Darius Rountree-Harrison

Darius is a founder and the current President of Street Growth. He was a former Rough Edges Team Leader of 10 years and works as a neurophysiology analyst at STARTTS. Darius is deeply passionate about social justice, mental health, environmental issues, and the empowerment of individuals experiencing disadvantage.

Jai Jaru

Jai is a founding member and the Vice President of Street Growth.  She is a natural leader and the cornerstone of the community. Jai is a strong advocate and respected voice on homelessness and mental health issues. She is involved with, and has been on the boards of, numerous organisations addressing homelessness issues in Sydney.

Ellen Gou

Ellen is a long-term volunteer and the Treasurer of Street Growth. She is an accountant at EY and is passionate about giving back to the community, having helped Street Growth to achieve many important milestones in its history. Ellen is a veritable green thumb and loves the outdoors.

Catherine Webb

Cat is our Mental Health Coordinator.  She studied psychology at USYD and Monash Universities and currently works in the USYD school of Psychology. She has a passion for helping those who are less fortunate and believes that everyone can change their own stars.

Cathy Andric

Cathy is a long-term Street Growth developer, member and co-Community Development Coordinator. She is a keen community horticulturalist and enjoys creating terrariums. Cathy is respected in the community and likes to help others

Wendy

Wendy is co-Community Development Coordinator for Street Growth.

Margarette Horstmann

Margie is the Education Coordinator for Street Growth and is currently undertaking a Bachelor in Psychology. She's most passionate about increasing the wellbeing of others and strengthening social connectedness in the community. 

Luke Palmer

Luke is our Sales Coordinator and a former Vice President. He's a rock star helping out in the garden and a champion of social enterprise, with his fundraising at plant sales. He's interested in community development, therapeutic horticulture, has a background working in disability support and as a landscape gardener.

Louise Muscolino

Lou is the Marketing Coordinator of Street Growth. She centres her goals, values and endeavours around purpose. Lou believes that when we each seek out our true purpose with intention, we can live most authentically and peacefully. Advocating for the LGBTIQA+ community and zero waste are causes Lou is most passionate about.

Danica Jobson

Danica is co-Secretary of Street Growth. Danica loves to garden and be in the outdoors. She is driven by a strong sense of ethics, social justice and environmental responsibility. Danica is currently researching behaviour change interventions to reduce food waste and works in social and market research.

Angela Hakim

Ange is co-Secretary of Street Growth. She is passionate about mindfulness and enjoys the sense of tranquility that gardening brings. Ange works in a medical practice and has recently achieved her credentials as a project manager.

Karen O'Sullivan

Karen joined Street Growth in 2019 and though her dedication and drive to help others, quickly became a Responsible Person. She loves contributing to Street Growth and helping the community to thrive.

Andrew Affleck

Andrew is a co-founder of the charity and is aTrusted Representative for Street Growth. Andrew works as a medical researcher studying dementia at NeuRA. Andrew is another founder of Street Growth and is dedicated to serving and helping others.
